Good Morning~

Are you ready to see a few more Studio J online scrapbooking layouts? I know my card makers might be getting antsy so I promise to post some photos of cards made from NEW product in the NEW Spring & Summer Idea book very very soon. Stay tuned to see what I came up with for the "Pemberly" papers.

In the meantime, enjoy these layouts. I will share a few unique thing about each...

This layout features a 7" x 12" photo.... not one many people have printed off.

I also added my journaling right over the B&TP at the bottom of page one.

I like this layout because I incorporated Smoothie cardstock even though it is not part of the Fanfare kit (which is retired in real life, but not in the cyber world- wink wink!).

With Studio J, you can customize the colors of any paper or cardstock you use.

This layout simply shows a lot of photos on one layout. This is page 4 of a series of layouts so extra journaling wasn't really needed. I love the pictures of the kids looking at the whale through the glass.

More layouts I created in my online scrapbooking endeavors last week. In these layouts I rotated the orientation on each page to create my own unique layout that fit with the photos.
This is so simple to do in the Studio J program. CTMH has done a great job of creating a step by step process that even the beginner scrapbooker or computer challenged person can have success using. This includes several layouts that you simply click to use, and then modify, rotate etc, with another click. Easy peasy!! Enjoy!

Online Scrapbooking - Another layout to share

Good Morning everyone,
As I promised, I am going to continue sharing some of my online scrapbooking projects created in my Studio J account. To see more detail, simply click on the photo to enlarge. These two layouts are dear to my heart and took me three years to finally scrapbook... but once I did, I felt so good.

One unique thing about these two layouts is that they will be mixed- and matched in my album. You see, I used the cover page layout in studio J to create two pages that are simply one large photo. When I add the pages to my album, I will add one with each of the first layout here. I would never print an 11x11 photo, but this layout needed that kind of emphasis.

I also used the TEXT module to add words right on top of the photo.

Studio J Online Scrapbooking

Good Morning~

Here is another layout I just ordered in my Studio J online scrapbooking account. I love this layout for several reasons:

I generally would not print off such a large photo to scrapbook but, with Studio J I simply dragged my photo to the photo well and the software made it fit.
I love how I was able to add my journaling to the top and sides of the photos simply by changing the orientation in my Text Editing tool.
I love how I was able to customize the text and place my title at the bottom of the page, using the QUICK TITLE tool in the Alphabets My Stickease. I then sized them to fit the space simply by clicking the slider bar up and down... so simple and yet such great results.

Hey everyone~

We are enjoying a nice bit of winter sunshine here in Oregon in the form of snow... and since we do not get it very often, we LOVE it. With that said, I've been inside scrapbooking a fair amount too as I personally don't last that long playing in it, like my boys do.

Good Morning Ladies,

Here is another one of the 3-D items we will be creating at the workshop. This gift box is a smaller version of the first one, and its decorated slightly different. All of the parts, including the tag are cut from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge. So fun and SO easy. The Silver GLITZ Gel adds the perfect amount of bling to the cardstock as well. I am seriously addicted to this stuff!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. Can you believe its almost 2012. As my son turned 12 this year, I was remembering 12 Christmas's ago when we were all thinking about Y2K and wondering what would happen in the new year as we rolled into the year 2000..... it seems like it was so long ago.

Anyway... as we start looking forward to the new year I thought I would share another piece of artwork we will be creating at the Cricut 3D Wowie Fundraiser Workshop in January that is featuring the Roxy papers and the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.

Today I wanted to share some artwork I created using the WONDERLAND Workshop on the Go Kit and the Cricut "Art Philosophy" Cartridge. I love, love, love not having to cut out all of these snowflakes by hand.... it makes life so much easier :)

The colors in this kit include Chocolate, Heavenly blue and Twilight.... so pretty together. And... this is one of the cards we will be creating at this month's Stamp Night. Enjoy!

My sweet friend Wendy Coffman sent this card to me and I thought it was very creative. She used the BELIEVE papers, and then swiped our PEARL PAINT across the front of the whole card to give it a shimmery and festive feel. Her final touches included using the corner rounder on several of her square pieces of B&TP. Her artwork always inspires me and I hope it inspires you too.

Good Morning,

Here are a couple of ideas for easy Christmas cards to create this season.
These 2 cards were made by my sweet friend Nancy Reding and both feature the Art Philosophy Cartridge for the Cricut.

On the first card, the ornament is cut out of Sky Blue Cardstock with the Cricut and makes the perfect accent to hold the Christmas Tree.

On the second card, the Christmas Stocking was cut out using the Cricut. This card actually features NO stamping as the words are from the Zip Strip in the Believe Level 2 Paper Pack. Quick, Simple and Fun.

Believe Layouts for you Scrapbookers!

Good Morning~

I still have more items created from the BELIEVE paper pack to share...I told you I was having fun with this paper. And this time, I thought I should share some I share some scrapbook pages.

This is the first of three layouts my monthly scrap club members will make. Each month I create a 6-page scrapbooking kit (3 double page, 12x12 layouts) from one of our Level 2 Paper packs and coordinating My Stickease, along with accessories. I pre-cut all the materials and then we either create together as a group, or I ship out kits to my long distance clubbers.

The beauty of this club, is that members are creating at least 3 scrapbook pages a month to add photos too.... and that adds up to 36 double page layouts a year (or 72 pages!!).

Now for some of you, that might not be a lot, but for others, who are procrastinators.... that might be a ton! I just want everyone to get their photos off of their computer and into an album, and these kits help that to happen.

Believe Workshop on the Go Kit - Cricut Fun!

Good Morning~

In keeping with the theme... I thought I would share another item I made using the BELIEVE Level 2 Paper Pack. There is no stamping at all on this item... even the words around the top come right from the papers. Fast, Simple and Fun!

This little cutey was made using a 6x12 pices of B&TP, cut out by the Cricut.

The template for this bag is found on the ART PHILOSOPHY cartridge by CTMH.

After cutting it out, I simply added a border around the top, along with the Zip Strip from the B&TP and a big bow from our Sweet Leaf Ribbon. You could easily add a gift tag and fill this little guy up with all kinds of things. With a smile, Tina

Believe Workshop on the Go Kit - Card #2

Good Morning,

Today's card is another card everyone will be creating at my "Ladies Night Out" class. It too features the BELIEVE Workshop on the Go kit, but also incorporates the use of the Cricut.

The poinsettia was cut out using one of the flower images from the Art Philosophy Cartridge, in 4 different sizes. So simple to do, and such a nice 3-D effect.

I stamped every other flower, glittered one of the flowers, and curled the edges to give it this festive, and fun look. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions. Enjoy! Tina

October Scrapbooking Club Layout #1: Featuring the DREAMIN' Kit

Good Morning,

For those of you in my monthly scrapbooking clubs, or my 6 page Scrapbooking Workshop kit club, here is one of the layouts featuring the DREAMIN' kit by CTMH. This layot also uses the Opaques Mocha Adhesive Gems. I love the way these look on my creations, and the ease of use.... simply adhere to your layout.

I also utilized the piercing tool a LOT to add a unique look to the edges and photo matte on this layouts. This process was easy using the Versamat as my guide. It will be even easier once I receive my new CTMH ruler. The reason this ruler is so great is that:

It is clear
It is 14 inches long (perfect for those 12x12 pages)
Comes with guide holes for evenly spaced stitching
Comes with a metal straight edge for craft knife cutting
Has 1" grid marks on it

This has definitely become a "Must-Have" tool for me. As you can see on the layout, without the ruler, I was not able to get the holes pierced precisely even. What a difference that ruler will make... now I am stalking the Fed Ex truck, waiting for it's arrival. Hee hee hee! Enjoy- Tina

Well, to keep the summer cheerfulness at our fingertips, my monthly classes will be creating with the new DREAMIN' kit by CTMH. These papers are so pretty and bright in their fall tones, that I had a lot of fun with them. I hope you will too.

Good Morning,

I have been having so much fun with this new TYPESET scrapbooking kit from CTMH. The featured colors are bold and crisp and include Vineyard Berry, Juniper, Desert Sand and Black. I have created a few layouts that I plan on using in my son's School Album this year. As I was creating these, I focused on the new corrugated kraft paper shapes as well as our new kraft cardstock. Hey Everyone,

Well, it's official... school has started here in Oregon. I am both happy and sad at the same time. I look forward to the fall and all its wonderful activities and time with family, but I miss having my boys home with me too. Such is life though. With that said, the theme of my classes this month focuses on the TYPESET kit which reminds me a LOT of school. I know many of you have Studio J memberships and haven't quite gotten started, and then some of you are considering digital scrapbooking but still aren't sure. A few more cards from the Mayberry Workshop on the Go Kit

Good Morning,

As promised, here are a few more cards made from the Mayberry Workshop on the Go kit. Again, paper pleating was the technique featured. Once pleated, if you sponge the edges with a little ink, it really makes the details of the pleating stand out. The bottom card also shows how versatile our new Canvas buttons are. You can stamp on them with any ink color or design to match your project. They come with adhesive on the back so you simply peel and stick to accent your artwork. Enjoy!

Mayberry Workshop on the Go Kit - FUN CARDS!

Hey Everyone ~

In May, my monthly card club ladies will be creating cards from the new Mayberry Workshop on the Go kit. I have to tell you it wasn't my favorite new kit to come out in this idea book, but after playing with it, I really love it. The colors (Smoothie, Honey, Garden Green and Cocoa) are so vibrant and warm. The stamp set that is included with the kit is so cute too. I love how each piece is separate so its very easy to color the leaves vs. the fruit.

Each one of these cards makes me feel cheery when I look at them. The technique featured on both of these cards is paper pleating. So easy, and with a little ink distressing, so fabulous. I will post a couple more in the next few days. Enjoy!

November is almost here... and that means Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays. The weather has shifted and the leaves start changing to all sort of beautiful colors. The kids get time out of school, which means time with family, enjoying one another and reflecting on all we have to be thankful for. It is truly the start of the holiday season for me.

And in that spirit, I have some beautiful cards to share. These cards feature the new Olivia Kit and are what we will be creating in my November Card club. Scrapbooking -- Are you behind?

Earlier this week I sat at my desk looking through my photo journal. I realized that I still had pictures from 2009 that I had not yet scrapbooked and I felt a bit overwhelmed. I try to stay more current than that as my boys love looking through the photos. But as the days fly by, I find I get a little bit further behind. Can any of you relate to this? So I did what any committed scrapper would do.... I determined to try and work on those layouts that would finish off the photos from 2009... and I had a secret weapon. I am happy to report that in the last 3 days, I have completed 26 two-page 12x12 layouts. Not only did I finish up the last photos from 2009, but have scrapbooked quite a few layouts from life this year. How did I do so many in such a short amount of time? It's easy - I am superwoman! ha haha, just kidding.

My secret weapon was Close To My Hearts newest program: Studio J. I had played around with it a bit, but not really jumped in with both feet. On Tuesday of this week, I did just that, and boy was it fun. The program is so simple to use. I did not have to worry about cropping or editing any of my photos first, or even printing them for that matter. I simply uploaded them and started playing.

Here is a rough outline of what creating a layout involved:

Creating a project- this means typing in a name
Uploading your photos
Choosing the My Reflections kit (there are kits that are online exclusively)
Choosing the layout you want to use (you can view them all, or select based on # of photos)
Choosing the "Kit Mix" of papers from the samples they provide
Drag and drop your photos into the layout
Click on Embellishments and Stickease, then drag and drop into the layout
Add your journaling
Save to Cart

It was THAT simple... and so fun. I am not kidding!! Now the best part of all is that it is 100% FREE to play with. You never pay anything unless of course, you want to order layouts. My Creation Journals featuring the "Cherry-O" kit

Hello,

Here are 2 My Creations journals I made featuring the Cherry-O kit, and Hollyhock Designer Ribbon Tube. We completed these at a workshop last week as part of my "Christmas Gifts" workshop series. All the ladies loved getting a jump start on their holiday gift giving.

These journals are simple to create and make fun gifts for anyone. I love that the artwork slips into a protective front cover to keep it from getting beat up from use. Cards from the Passages kit- scrapbooking and cards from one kit, woo-hoo!

Hello,

So this kit is so fun for me. As many of you know, I am a mom to 4 boys. I have no daughters, no sisters and only 1 sister in law. So....I tend to gravitate towards the masculine side of things in my creating. Here are some cards I made with the Passages kit.

The colors featured in these cards are: Brown Bag, Cocoa and Barn Red. I used the front side of the B&TP rather than the backside like I did on the layouts. That is why you don't see the green as much, but it is the exact same kit. Enjoy!

Hey Everyone! Where has the time gone. It's almost the end of summer, I can't believe it. I have kept myself so busy with the boys that I have been slow in posting to my blog. I am getting back into the swing of things so wanted to share my latest scrapbooking creations.

Hi Everyone,

It has been a LONG 4 months getting through this second story addition on our home, but we are done and the results are awesome. I will post some pictures soon.
